Product information "climbing guidebook Arco Plaisir"
The fourth edition is here. Florian Kluckner now presents 162 long plaisir routes in his new Arco climbing guide. They reach a maximum difficulty of 6b+/ 7-. However, the majority of the routes are at grade 5 difficulty. The individual routes are presented in two languages. This means that you receive information about the route itself in words. Everything else worth knowing is conveyed via pictograms (GPS data for parking lot and route / rock, orientation and height of the wall, walking times to and from the rock) and of course via topo's (graphic or color photo) and maps. Climbing impressions round off the whole thing. The routes are located in the following areas: - Monte Castello di Gaino - Monte Baldo - Corno di Bò - Cima Nodice - Val di Ledro - Monte Baone - Placche di Baone - Parete di Padaro - Monte Stivo - Vastré - Colodri - Monte Colt - Coste dell'Anglone - Molinèi - Cima alle Coste - Lastoni di Dro - Parete Zebrata - Pian dela Paia - Monte Casale - Piccolo Dain - Santa Massenza 384 pages Language Italian / German Edition 2025
This long awaited volume is for lovers of adventure and explorative alpinism.
After publishing the first guide book of the most classical areas around Arco, this covers the wildest and remotest section of the Sarca Valley where there are a remarkable number of easy to reach multipitch routes for everyone. We find true gems for the more demanding climbers, for those looking to experience the excitement of big walls, for those wishing to feel lost in nature, dominated by the surrounding environment, as if climbing up a huge rock face in the Dolomites.
Beside friendly and reassuring Placche Zebrate, there are rock faces which loom over the valley near Sarche and Pietramurata and which continue towards the Valley dei Laghi, where the latest developments are still evolving: the possibilities on the walls of Fraveggio, as on the walls of the Limarò canyon have still got a lot of potential!
Alpinism and climbing in the Sarca Valley and near Arco, never cease to surprise us: it was the hotbed of free climbing in Europe, and still to this day offers us new opportunities on walls which incredibly are constantly evolving. From the previous edition in fact, 590 pages and 520 routes, two volumes which are over 500 pages long for a total of over 800 multi pitch routes with 23 new walls.
As in the three previous editions and in Vol.1, the guide is accompanied by precise drawings by the author, completely updated for the occasion, with accurate historic and logistical notes and a complete evaluation on the beauty and difficulty of the itinerary. Finally, a few of the alpinists past and present of the Valley enhance the work by narrating short stories, emotions and adventures experienced on the walls of Sarca.
Diego Filippi born in Trento in 1967, is a mountaineer, academic member of the Italian Alpine Club and Mountain Guide. He has a great in depth knowledge of the Sarca Valley and is deeply in love with its rock faces, he has wanted to bear witness to this great passion with an accurate and precise work, outcome of years of research and constant updates. This fourth edition represents the sum of his experience as an expert mountaineer and prolific route opener, which combines the great classical tradition with the new and more current forms of climbing.

The new climbing guidebook Oltre Arco was conceived while working on the current climbing guidebook about Arco. With so many very rewarding areas around Arco, Michael Meisl quickly realized that it wouldn't make sense to describe everything in one book.Consequently, Oltre Arco is now available with the most important climbing areas from Verona via Ceredo to the Val di Non (the Adige Valley from Affi to Trento).3,400 routes in 78 areas - presented in a simple, clear design, with detailed topos and approach maps, QR codes for parking lots and lots of additional information about climbing in Arco and the surrounding area. The topos are mainly graphic and the routes are colored differently according to their difficulty. This is omitted as soon as they are superimposed on color photos of the walls. A brief overview and bar chart of the difficulty distribution help you to make a quick decision.More climbing around Lake Garda is probably not possible. With both Meisl climbing guides you are well served!544 pagesLanguage GermanEdition 2024M. Meisl

The walls of the Adige Valley have been climbed for several decades. This is especially true of the walls of Monte Baldo, Monte Cimo above the village of Brentino and the beautiful walls of Chiusa di Cerain, where the routes start practically on the banks of the Adige. Strangely enough, no attention has been paid to the walls a little south of Monte Cimo and on Monte Cordespino, above the village of Tessari. It was only less than 10 years ago that climbers, mainly from Verona, began to explore these walls. Thanks to their easy accessibility, dozens of routes have been created in just a few years. The guide contains topos and descriptions of more than 150 long routes of low and medium difficulty. The average difficulty lies between the 3rd and 5th grade, with the maximum difficulty of individual lengths reaching 6b. The route length is usually between 100-200 metres of climbing, with the longest route measuring almost 400m. The protection of the individual routes varies greatly and ranges from good, sport climbing routes to alpine routes that you have to belay yourself.Language Italian384 pagesEdition 2024M. Leorato, C. Classic and modern routes in the Sarca Valley - Vol.1: Arco, Torbole, Val di Ledro, Tenno, Padaro, Dro
This fourth edition of the only complete guide of multi-pitch routes around Arco is the result of the deep passion of one of the leading characters of rock climbing in Valle del Sarca.
The main development is the remarkable expansion of the area described, which today ranges from the shores
of Lake Garda all the way to the Valle dei Laghi: 23 new sectors for a total of 260 unpublished routes, which added to the 520 routes already present in the last edition makes a total of 780, spread around approximately 33 sectors.
As a result of such an abundance of lines, we have decided to divide the guide into two volumes, presenting in this first volume, the part which today has more new routes: the area which includes the lower part of Valle del Sarca, the rock faces which persist across the plain of Arco and Lake Garda.
Among the many surprises of this volume you will find the new routes on the Coste di Loppio near San Giovanni pass, in val di Ledro and the not so popular valley of Volta di Nò, where new interesting routes are still being opened.
In the second volume we will deal with the rock faces which loom over the Valley near Sarche and Pietramurata and which continue towards Valle dei Laghi, where the new routes are still very much in evolution: the possibility to set up routes on the rock faces of Fraveggio, as on the rock faces in the Limarò canyon are anything but finished.
