Product information "climbing guidebook Escalade autour de Lyon 2025"
When you look at the new edition of the climbing guide for Lyon, you might think it's the little brother of the “old” edition. But no, the new edition reflects what is currently managed by the FFME of the Lyon metropolitan area. The climbing guide now includes 10 climbing areas. Previously, there were 16. Two climbing areas had to be closed, one due to the misconduct of some climbers and the other due to heavy rockfall. Four other areas will now be managed by the FFME Rhone.
The layout has remained the same. You don't necessarily have to buy the new one—the old one will do. 118 pages Language: French Edition: 2025
The recently published climbing guide was long overdue, as it describes all the wonderful areas in the Département Saône-et-Loire with the exception of the bouldering areas of Suin and Verosvres, which were long out of print. The Cruzille (Ste Genevieve) climbing area is also missing. The association did not receive permission to publish it.This topo is 100% local, the writing, photos, graphics, logistics, translation and printing were largely done on a voluntary basis. 16 climbing areas in the Saône-et-Loire (14 climbing areas and 2 bouldering areas) with a total of over 1000 routes and boulders are described. So there is plenty to do on the limestone cliffs of this region. Modern in layout and very clearly laid out, it takes every climbing enthusiast to the crag of their dreams. Topos are included in the book as color photos, site plans as well as color photos and graphics. In addition, there is all other necessary information in pictogram form, as a strip chart, bilingual and of course the QR code for parking.A very good climbing guide for a charming landscape.287 pagesLanguage French / EnglishEdition 2024

Volume 1 of the Escalade en Savoie concentrates mainly on the climbing areas around the Lac du Bourget. The areas described in the guidebook with a total of 32 sectors are listed in a table at the beginning of the book. This summary provides an overview of the key information such as the number of routes by grade, orientation, altitude and ascent time. And then it starts. Each individual climbing area is introduced in more detail with the help of site plans and pictograms - information on route lengths, protection situation, required equipment, child-friendliness as well as GPS coordinates of the crags and parking facilities. The topos are mostly clearly marked on color photographs. In this respect, this climbing guide is a useful companion for a few relaxed climbing days in the Savoie, even without any knowledge of French. The following climbing areas are included in the climbing guide: L'AVANT PAYS: DALLE DE PEYRIEU, BOIS DE GLAISE, LA BALME, EXTREME NOISE, CHAMARD, SAINT-DIDIER, ST DIDIER-OUEST,LIERRE, COL DU BANCHET / LE LAC DU BOURGET: CHATEAU BARTHELIER, CESSENS CORNAILLES, CESSENS GROTTE, CESSENS CARABIN, CESSENS CARABIN DU BAS, LE SAPENAY DROITE, LE SAPENAY GAUCHE, SAPENAY DEGRÉ, CHINDRIEUX LE BLOC, CHINDRIEUX LE BOGNON, CHINDRIEUX LE CASQUE, CHINDRIEUX DU BAS, PIERRE DU CARRE, CHAMBOTTE DE GAUCHE, CHAMBOTTE DE DROITE, BRISON GRANDE FALAISE, BRISON CHATELARD, BRISON LES OLIVIERS, BAIE DE GRÉSINE, CORSUET, LA BIOLLE, COL DU CHAT and MOUXY2204 routes in difficulties 3 to 9 french.
