The Pilat Regional Nature Park, named after Mount Pilat, is located in parts of the Loire and Rhône departments. This large natural habitat stretches from southwest of Lyon to the Ardèche. All of the areas featured in the climbing guide are located east and south of Saint-Étienne.
The guidebook presents more than 340 routes, 12 multi-pitch routes with 2 to 6 pitches, via ferrata routes for adults and children, and equipped mountain tours “Parcours Montagne.” The guidebook is spiral-bound with clear color photo topos, photo maps, clear pictograms, and overviews of the routes. The areas are described in detail with all the information you could want, such as the difficulty level in the sector, number of routes, maximum climbing length, type of rock, best season (in months), access to the area (including QR code), and much more.
