Annecy, on the lake with the same name in eastern France (40 km south of Geneva and approx. Geneva and approx. 120 km north-west of Briancon), offers a total of a total of 49 fine climbing areas. Most of these are located in the immediate vicinity of the town of Annecy and are therefore easy to reach. With an altitude of almost 500 meters above sea level and its geographical location, you should be able to climb here even in the warmer seasons. In the 2024 edition, 1919 routes are offered in almost all French levels of difficulty (3a to 9a). The climbing guide itself is very clearly laid out. At the beginning of the book, the location of all 49 areas is clearly shown on a map.  In the glossary you will find all the important terms used in the guidebook translated into English, German and Italian.
