With this new climbing guide from the publisher Prames, edge and ridge climbs in Teruel are presented. The province of Teruel is located in the autonomous region of Aragon in the eastern center of Spain. Scenically inviting and very special in the way of climbing, Teruel offers fantastic and, above all, often very long edge and ridge climbs. The author Javier Magallón has researched these climbs very well and has also included many newly opened routes. In total, there are 70 routes in different locations throughout the province. Often they are ridge climbs with complete traverses or just great edges up towers or walls. The routes are described in full. Each individual route is described on 2 pages with color photos and topo, site plan and a detailed and an abbreviated description with the facts: Division of the route into individual pitches with associated difficulty, approach and retreat or - away, characterization of the route, duration, as well as the material proposal.2198 pagesLanguage SpanishEdition 2020J. The Bornes Aravis massif is part of the French Pre-Alps and stretches between the broad Arve Valley to the north, the Arly Valley to the east and Lac d'Annecy to the west. The 35 areas described in the climbing guide are all south of Bonneville. The guide includes both short sport climbing routes and long routes with more than 400 climbing meters. All necessary information is presented by means of pictograms - star rating of the routes, route length, wall slope, required material, sea level of the area, access time, orientation, rain, child-friendliness, GPS data parking facilities. The long trails are additionally described in their individual lengths. Unfortunately, only in French. However, the book is preceded by an extensive glossary that translates all key words used in the text into German and English. The topos are very legibly laid over partly full-page color photographs.208 pagesLanguage French / Glossary in German and EnglishEdition 2017Gilles Burnot

The new climbing guide for the top climbing areas of Bourgogne (Burgundy), Cormot and Baderne (Bout du Monde), now comes in a slimmer form and different format. The historical essays and much more about the area have been significantly shortened in favor of the topos. In both climbing areas, one can actually climb year-round except for the restrictions of the biotope ordinance. In addition, due to the different orientation of the walls, it is always possible to find a shady spot for summer afternoons.Cormot, with its total of 237 routes, has the much wider range of climbing difficulties (8 3 routes, 17 4 routes, 61 5 routes, 109 6 routes and 42 7 routes). There the lover of moderate climbing will find himself rather than in Baderne with its 109 routes, which are almost exclusively in the 7th and 8th French grade (five 6 routes, 60 7 routes, 41 8 routes and one 9 route). To the good color photo-topos there is always a colored (depending on the difficulty) assignment of the paths. Thus one finds faster his level on the wall. Otherwise, the individual pages are headed with pictograms, through which you can easily get information about the respective sector (access time, orientation of the sector, number of routes with difficulty range and required rope length). The pictograms are always preceded by a photo of the area/sector with an indication of the location of the respective section.112 pagesLanguage French / Info on the area in English and GermanEdition 2019

The format and layout of the climbing guide for Uskedalen and Eikedalen is similar to that of a folder. This is practical with regard to the length of the climbing route (2 to 18 pitches, up to 900 metres of climbing), so the topo can simply be folded out to save space. As the routes presented are alpine multi-pitch routes and mobile protection equipment has to be used, it is a good idea to understand Norwegian for the purpose or to study a dictionary intensively ... In the new edition there are also introductory words in English to the areas as well as a glossary of the most important terms in Norwegian / English on the first pages of the guide. All routes are described in their individual pitches and illustrated with topos. Supporting symbols, maps and GPS data are provided. 78 routes in Uskedalen, 53 routes in Eikedalen and a handful of sport climbing routes in Hjortegryta are waiting to be climbed. The difficulties are mainly 5 and 6 degrees on the Norwegian scale. The climbing guidebook for the Small Carpathians (located northeast of Bratislava) describes 12 climbing areas, which are located in this wooded mountain ridge. They are located a little more south than the climbing areas of the climbing guide Záhorie Skaly na Slovensku 1. The book bears the same signature as Záhorie Skaly na Slovensku 1, because it is the same author. It only has more content and scope. Otherwise, the book makes use of expressive pictograms as well as colored markings for the difficulty classification of the trails, which are also explained in this volume in the back cover. The topos and the site plans are graphics, which are very legible. In addition, individual trails are highlighted in color photos. 288 pages language slovak / english edition 2022

South Wales Sport covers the area to the south of the Brecon Beacons, spanning the land and sea cliffs from the River Wye on the Welsh border to Pembrokeshire in the west. The area is home to a wealth of sport climbing on a multitude of venues ranging from small inland quarries to extensive limestone sea cliffs.
