The format and layout of the climbing guide for Uskedalen and Eikedalen is similar to that of a folder. This is practical with regard to the length of the climbing route (2 to 18 pitches, up to 900 metres of climbing), so the topo can simply be folded out to save space. As the routes presented are alpine multi-pitch routes and mobile protection equipment has to be used, it is a good idea to understand Norwegian for the purpose or to study a dictionary intensively ... In the new edition there are also introductory words in English to the areas as well as a glossary of the most important terms in Norwegian / English on the first pages of the guide. All routes are described in their individual pitches and illustrated with topos. Supporting symbols, maps and GPS data are provided. 78 routes in Uskedalen, 53 routes in Eikedalen and a handful of sport climbing routes in Hjortegryta are waiting to be climbed. The difficulties are mainly 5 and 6 degrees on the Norwegian scale. Great tours in great surroundings!
