With this new bouldering guide you get a real alternative if you like to go bouldering in the far north. In addition to the Lofoten Islands, which are within easy reach and driving distance, these areas are also within the Arctic Circle. Rasmus Bølling has really gone to town and included 12 bouldering areas with 1568 problems and many other open projects in this wonderful guide. An inventory which is really impressive and will probably attract one or two friends of short routes. The following areas are presented: Sundsvoll (Vega), Sila, Forstranda, Mevik/ Gullkysten, Kunna, Crag X, Kvalvika, Mjelle, Straumvassbotn, Gjerdalen (Magic Valley) and Steigenkrysset; Helgeland (Sundsvoll and Sila) are located slightly below the Arctic Circle.
The bouldering areas are assigned to 4 color-coded regions. QR codes, GPS data and small maps make it much easier to find and navigate. To make the selection easier, there is a difficulty overview of the available boulders with each area description. 206 inspiring photos of bouldering accompany the excellent black and white photos of the individual boulders.
