The Aladağlar Mountains are the highest massif of the central Taurus Mountains. It is also home to the densest collection of mountains over 3000 meters high in the Central Taurus. In addition to the climbing areas, the book also describes some trekking and ski tours through this wild, deserted mountain range. So if you fancy climbing away from the heavily trafficked (southern) European areas, you'll find plenty of climbing material in the Aladaglar Mountains nestled in tranquil, dreamlike nature.
The 2014 edition of the climbing guide has increased considerably compared to the previous edition. In total, there are now over 500 routes in the guide, more precisely 450 sport climbing routes as well as alpine multi-pitch routes. The routes are climbed on limestone or conglomerate. The long routes offer up to 600m of climbing!
The climbing guide is clearly structured and very clearly laid out. The topos of the sport climbing routes are well readable over color photographs. For the multi-pitch routes, in addition to photos of the wall with drawn route course, there are also accurate sketches.
