limbing in Benediktbeuern, Brauneck, Lenggries, Tegernsee, Spitzingsee

Markus Stadler presents the best climbing destinations in Munich's local mountains between Loisach and Leitzach. In addition to climbing gardens close to the valley, such as at Bad Heilbrunn. Lenggries or in the Jachenau, there are also many higher sport climbing destinations at Brauneck, Spitzingsee or Schreistein. However, the main focus of the book is clearly on the traditional foothills of the Alps, from Benediktenwand to Roßstein, Buchstein, Leonhardstein, Plankenstein and Taubenstein to the Ruchenköpfe. Many - mostly renovated - classics are just as attracting here as countless, well-secured sport climbing routes in all degrees of difficulty.

After the first edition of 2014 had already been out of print for some time, the author, with the active support of the best area experts, has brought all areas back up to date. Although no completely new crags are described, over 100 new routes have been added and the scope of the climbing guide has grown by almost 70 pages. Thus, this book offers the optimal basis for unforgettable climbing experiences in the Bavarian mountains.

The guide comes with a download code for a free application for iOS and Android. You get all Bavarian Alps topos as an app for your smartphone for free. The topos are currently being prepared for the app, and we therefore ask for a little patience. If you have any questions about the Bavarian Alps Climbing App, please contact the Vertical-Life team directly.
