Product information "climbing guidebook Sport Climbing in England and Wales Vol 1 North"

This climbing guide describes the best sport climbing areas throughout England and Wales, with photo topos, approach and access information, and detailed maps.
The popularity of sport climbing in the UK has exploded in recent years, leading to a huge increase in bolts in almost every corner of the country. Sport Climbing in England & Wales provides comprehensive topos on more than 170 crags, from well-known crags such as Kilnsey, Malham and Raven Tor to the slate quarries of North Wales, the popular crags of the Wye Valley, Cheddar Gorge and the famous sea cliffs of Portland and Swanage. In addition, a wealth of lesser-known climbing areas across the country are featured, all of which contribute to the great diversity of sport climbing on offer in the UK.
Volume 1 (this climbing guide) contains more than 4700 routes on 89 crags in northern England and Wales, including Cumbria, Lancashire, North Yorkshire, the sea cliffs of Filey, the Peak District, Cheshire, the limestone of Clwyd, the A55 and the coast of North Wales, and the slate quarries of Llanberis.
All levels of difficulty are represented, from beginner routes to very difficult climbs. However, the book is primarily aimed at climbers of grades 5 to 7b on the French scale, as much of the route is at this level.
Despite its large geographic scope, this compact guidebook manages to describe just about every worthwhile sport climbing area in England and Wales, including detailed access, approach, and parking information, as well as complete photo topos and super-accurate maps.
