This guidebook describes all the climbing areas between Cassis and La Ciotat and, alongside the Calanques and Phoceenes guides, is the third part of the climbing guidebook series for the wide climbing panorama of the Marseilles region.
The climbing guide is well structured and classically arranged. In addition to area information, good site plans and colour photos, the important information (approach time, wall height, orientation) is presented in pictogram form.
The areas described vary significantly in terms of rock and protection. So be careful with the routes labelled “Terrain d'Adventure” - these are classic routes that do not offer the usual southern French protection.
Thanks to the informative pictograms, knowledge of French is not essential. Off to France! Areas: Falaises Soubeyranes, Bec de l'Aigle, Mallombre, Etoile Noire, Roumaqoua, Ceyreste, Carnoux and Port-Miou.
