climbing guidebook Escalade Plaisir Alpes du Sud, Provence
€30.00*
This guide focuses on climbing "big routes" (height 100 to 400 meters) in difficulty grades 4b to 6b max, 4a to 6a mandatory with easy access. All selected routes offer good rock climbing, mostly well equipped or easy to belay. Each route is described in detail (text and sketches) so that the climber, well informed about the route, can enjoy the atmosphere and the route. This updated 3rd edition describes 200 multi-pitch routes, all climbed by the author in the following massifs: Baronnies, Briançonnais, Écrins (Ailefroide), Queyras, Ubaye, Argentera, Mercantour, Verdon and Calanques de Marseille. With a sound knowledge of French, it is easy to get to grips with these fantastic, long trails in the southern (French) Alps as well as Provence. The route is discussed very extensively in its individual pitches, its approach as well as its descent. The text is flanked by a (mostly) full-page topo (graphic). 2 larger photo "chapters" illustrate the beauty of the rocks and paths, which one may enjoy.336 pagesLanguage FrenchEdition 2023H. climbing guidebook Escalades en Queyras - Pays du Viso
€34.00*
The Queyras is a landscape and regional nature park in the Hautes-Alpes department, which lies to the west of the main Alpine ridge on the Italian border. The Queyras is surrounded to the north, south and west by mountain ranges that reach altitudes of between 3000 and 4000 metres. Thanks to this sheltered location, the Queyras forms a pronounced inner-Alpine ‘dry area’. Climbing is therefore often possible here even when the rain is soaking the rock elsewhere at the same time. The climbing guide describes 180 long, alpine routes as well as 16 small sport climbing areas and 5 via ferratas. The guidebook contains a total of 1479 pitches. The difficulties range from 2c to 8c+. french grade (most difficult single pitch) - so there is something for everyone :-) - whereby the 4th and 5b grades clearly dominate on the long routes. The routes are clearly laid out on perfect colour photographs, some of which were taken from quite a long distance. All routes are described in great detail. Unfortunately only in french language. However, the key information is summarised again for each route. When you first leaf through the guide, it looks like an illustrated book about the beautiful landscape of the Queyras and the photos alone make you want to climb in this part of France. 360 pages Language French Edition 2024 G.
