€30.00*
This guide focuses on climbing "big routes" (height 100 to 400 meters) in difficulty grades 4b to 6b max, 4a to 6a mandatory with easy access. All selected routes offer good rock climbing, mostly well equipped or easy to belay. Each route is described in detail (text and sketches) so that the climber, well informed about the route, can enjoy the atmosphere and the route. This updated 3rd edition describes 200 multi-pitch routes, all climbed by the author in the following massifs: Baronnies, Briançonnais, Écrins (Ailefroide), Queyras, Ubaye, Argentera, Mercantour, Verdon and Calanques de Marseille. With a sound knowledge of French, it is easy to get to grips with these fantastic, long trails in the southern (French) Alps as well as Provence. The route is discussed very extensively in its individual pitches, its approach as well as its descent. The text is flanked by a (mostly) full-page topo (graphic). 2 larger photo "chapters" illustrate the beauty of the rocks and paths, which one may enjoy.336 pagesLanguage FrenchEdition 2023H. climbing guidebook Orpierre
€31.80*
Climbing in Orpierre
Orpierre - a village dedicated to climbing. Already from the village you can see the imposing walls and peaks. Much is within walking distance of Orpierre. The village offers a campground, bars, grocery stores and even a small climbing store. Only climbing you have to do yourself. 8 different climbing walls with different orientations offer climbers the opportunity to climb in the sun or in the shade, depending on the season. With the 2023 edition of the climbing guide, you get the current status of the developments on the surrounding walls offered - 683 pitches are now waiting for diligent repeaters. In the sport climbing area, there are currently 325 single-pitch routes and 55 multi-pitch routes. In the so-called "equipped adventure sectors", a total of 37 long routes with 3 - 7 lengths (max. 170 climbing meters) can be found.
The climbing guide is now trilingual throughout. The introductory information on the region, history, etc. is also available in three languages, which is not the norm by French standards. The guide is again very clear and descriptive succeeded. Good approach sketches and topos leave no questions. Orientation, access time, slope of the wall and difficulty range of the respective sectors are clearly presented in pictograms. In addition, at the beginning of each chapter there are detailed descriptions of the respective area or sector.
