climbing guidebook Grimper dans le Cantal
€32.00*
The small town of Aurillac is located in the Cantal department in the middle of the beautiful Auvergne, not far from the natural park Volcans d'Auvergne, which is worth seeing. The 19 climbing and 3 bouldering areas included in the guide are mainly located north and east of Aurillac. A total of 551 sport climbing routes and 201 bouldering routes have made it into the guide. At the beginning of the guide is a corresponding list, in which all areas and their number of routes / boulder sorted by grade are listed. Very helpful for quick orientation. Also otherwise the guide convinces by its clarity. Each area is briefly described at the beginning, the crucial information (recommended material and rope length, GPS coordinates of the area / parking possibilities, wall orientation) can be easily filtered out without French language skills. The topos of each route are legibly superimposed over color photographs (rarely sketches). In addition to grade, there is also a star rating for each route. The 2018 edition now features QR codes for all areas in addition to a multilingual introduction and glossary of key climbing terms.228 pp.Language French / Introduction and glossary in English, Spanish, German, Italian.Edition 2018
